Lauren Robinson
1. Name: Lauren Robinson2. How long have you called Jacksonville home? Since December 2013!3. Favorite local restaurant right now: I’m gonna go with the killer combo of Pour Taproom and Pizza Dynamo.4. Go-to drink order (cocktail, coffee, or otherwise): Let’s just say there’s a reason the bartender on the cruise ship called me “Ms. Cabernet.”5. If Jacksonville had an official snack, what would it be and why? Pub Subs... because no other city would turn a grocery store deli counter into a culinary destination.6. You have one free afternoon in Jax—what’s your perfect food + fun combo? I would soak up all the cool things Downtown has to offer! Check out Sweet Pete’s for some candy and overall sugary vibes, enjoy a delightful meal and cocktail at Dorothy’s Downtown, check out MOCA for some classy culture, and then head back over to Pour Taproom to play some Golden Tee.7. If you could rename one Jacksonville neighborhood after your favorite food or drink, what would it be called? Arlington would become the Donut District. Because we've got the donuts.8. What’s your most “only in Jacksonville” story or moment? I once saw a guy riding a unicycle across Beach Blvd and thought to myself, “Well, that’s Duval for ya.”9. You’re leading a foodie tour for an out-of-towner—what’s your first stop, and what are they eating? I’ve got to copy my husband here… Fast Eddy’s Quick Mideast, and they are eating everything.10. Bonus silly one: If a manatee offered to be your foodie sidekick for a day, where are you taking them first? 🦦🍤 We all know that manatees are friendly creatures, so I’d take my manatee friend to the Friendship Fountain for some fun photo ops—and then over to Safe Harbor for shrimp, because they deserve a proper local seafood experience. After that we'd hit up First Coast Comedy. I just feel like a manatee would enjoy some improv. (You can't prove me wrong.)
